Job summary

Ascensus, the leading retirement services provider, is seeking a Client Services Consultant in Tampa, FL. You will deliver consultative service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors, applying retirement plan expertise to resolve complex issues and protect client satisfaction.

You will coach colleagues, collaborate with Relationship Manager, manage escalated items, and build strong relationships across clients and financial professionals while upholding Ascensus core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years direct client experience required; Retirement Services industry experience preferred.
• Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels within Ascensus.
• Excellent presentation skills, business etiquette, client service skills and time management.
• Experience with financial services systems (recordkeeping, trust, etc.) and plan recordkeeping/reconciliation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel); Access and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and mentor others.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus products and services.
• Coach and mentor others in retirement plan and client relations.
• Monitor and resolve escalated client issues with appropriate actions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with financial professionals and plan sponsors.
• Collaborate with Relationship Manager to deliver client satisfaction and growth.
