Job summary

Ascensus, the leading independent technology and service platform powering savings plans across America, seeks a Client Services Consultant. You will provide consultative service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors, applying your knowledge of retirement plans to resolve complex issues.

You will work with the Relationship Manager to deliver client satisfaction, mentor associates, and ensure proactive communication and high service levels across the assigned book of business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years direct client experience; retirement services preferred.
• Certification (ASPPA, CEBS) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels.
• Excellent presentation, business etiquette, client service and time management.
• Experience with financial services systems and plan recordkeeping.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; Access and PowerPoint preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Team player with ability to lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus products.
• Coach and mentor associates to ensure client expectations are met.
• Manage escalated items and resolve client issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and financial professionals.
• Monitor and follow up on assigned items with appropriate actions.
• Communicate clearly about services and resolutions throughout the service cycle.
• Support vendor relationships on behalf of clients and partners.
