Job summary

PNC is seeking a Senior Benefits Consultant in the HR Strategy and Risk group, based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on retirement plans, including defined contribution and defined benefit plans, with emphasis on pension experience.

Responsibilities include consulting on 401(k) and pension plans, plan data analysis, and ensuring regulatory and plan compliance. The position requires strong Excel skills and client-facing communication, with in-office expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retirement services or retirement plan administration, or a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) environment.
• Knowledge of 401(k) plans, pension plans, discrimination testing, distributions, and retirement plan compliance.
• Experience with Form 5500 reporting and retirement plan regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills with ability to evaluate data and tell insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting and administrative support for 401(k), pension, and other qualified retirement plans.
• Analyze retirement plan data, troubleshoot issues, and translate findings into recommendations.
• Support retirement plan operations, including distributions, compliance testing, and daily administration.
• Review discrimination testing results and assist with Form 5500 preparation and review.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure plan compliance and operational excellence.
