Job summary

Sonic Drive-In seeks a General Manager to lead the drive-in’s operations and staff, ensuring a top-tier guest experience and adherence to company standards. This role oversees hiring, training, scheduling, and cost control while driving local marketing and performance efforts.

The General Manager will manage opening/closing, guest and employee issues, and maintain records and reports. Expect long hours, team leadership, and a focus on sanitation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires at least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring and managing staff.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws and health/safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and manage restaurant managers and staff.
• Supervise operations to deliver excellent guest experience.
• Plan and control food, labor, and inventory costs.
• Lead regular team meetings and maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Coordinate opening/closing duties and guest issue resolution.
• Maintain equipment and vendor performance.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.
• Attend to irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays.
