Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to deliver comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator support, diagnostics and patient education. The role involves supervising shift staff and mentoring students, ensuring quality patient care across units.

Required are a respiratory therapy license, NBRC credentials, and at least two years of experience, with EPIC EHR proficiency and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of practice.
• NBRC credentialed; RRT preferred.
• Minimum two years of Respiratory Care experience.
• Basic life support and advanced life support certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen, ventilation and airway management.
• Operate and monitor ventilators and related equipment.
• Administer bronchodilators and aerosolized meds as prescribed.
• Perform diagnostic tests and patient education on therapies.
• Serve as preceptor for new staff and students.
