Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced Engineer III to join the South Seas engineering team on Captiva Island, Florida. The role focuses on advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations meet the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility maintenance, with hands-on capability and a commitment to safety and guest service.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and work-order systems (CMMS).
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and codes.
• HVAC EPA 608 or related certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on resort facilities, guest accommodations, public areas, and back‑of‑house operations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building system issues.
• Inspect and repair HVAC systems and related equipment; perform electrical and plumbing work within authorized qualifications.
• Carry out carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, flooring, and general building repairs as needed.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and document with work orders; minimize operational disruptions.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Follow safety procedures and resort standards; respond to maintenance emergencies as required.
