Job summary

South Seas, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality on Captiva Island, seeks a Maintenance Engineer II to support our 279-room resort. You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tile work, and pool maintenance under the Engineering team.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. Requires HS diploma, valid driver’s license, English fluency, and hospitality maintenance experience; CPO is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; motor vehicle background check required.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience in hotel/resort maintenance in hospitality preferred.
• CPO certification preferred or ability to obtain as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building systems: mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Maintain pool systems, water chemistry, and health-safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair carpentry, doors, windows, finishes, and fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and record-keeping per policy.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
