Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking a Project Development Lead to drive utility-scale wind and solar energy projects from identification through financial close and construction start. The role requires coordinating permitting, land rights, and stakeholder engagement across multiple jurisdictions.

The candidate will support financial modeling, budget development, and interconnection studies while collaborating with Legal, Engineering, Construction, and Finance teams. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry.
• Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
• Analytical problem solving, strong communication, and relationships with partners and customers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for local state, federal, and regional permitting of utility-scale wind farms and solar parks.
• Oversee the preparation of proposals submitted to utilities.
• Obtain land surface rights to design, permit, construct, operate, and maintain wind and solar projects.
• Identify prospective projects with suitable wind resource, transmission access, and site characteristics.
• Establish and manage relationships with stakeholders including officials, regulators, utilities, and community leaders.
• Participate in policy outreach to government officials regarding wind industry issues.
