Job summary

EDF Renewable Energy, Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead technical coordination of grid-scale PV, Wind, and BESS projects from development through construction.

You will oversee interconnection studies, preliminary engineering analysis, and design development from 10% to IFC, collaborating across Development, Engineering, and Construction teams. The role requires 7+ years in renewable energy, strong engineering fundamentals, and experience with AutoCAD/ETAP;

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years on renewable energy projects and 2+ years as a project engineer.
• Knowledge of PV, storage and wind technology is preferred.
• Experience with design packages and electrical, civil, and structural reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead development engineering and coordination of substation and transmission design.
• Coordinate EPC design execution, RFIs, SOVs, and 30/60/90/IFC deliverables.
• Support site visits, permitting requirements, and interconnection processes.
• Collaborate with Development, Permitting, Interconnection, Estimating, Procurement, and PM teams.
• Provide technical guidance during construction and with external consultants.
