Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking a Project Development Lead to drive utility-scale wind and solar projects from identification through financial close and construction start. You will manage permitting, land rights, and interconnection studies, coordinating with legal, engineering, and finance teams.

Based in Houston, TX, with travel to sites as needed, you will build relationships with regulators, utilities, and stakeholders to advance the project pipeline and ensure timely delivery while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or related industry.
• Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of utility-scale wind and solar projects from identification through financial close and start of construction.
• Manage local, state, and regional permitting for wind farms and solar parks.
• Oversee proposals to utilities and obtain land surface rights.
• Identify prospective projects with suitable wind resource and interconnection access.
• Build relationships with regulators, utilities, and community leaders to support development.
• Monitor interconnection studies and manage environmental studies and permitting.
