Job summary
AES is seeking an experienced professional to advance renewable energy project development in the United States. The role focuses on energy production modeling, site evaluation, and technical diligence for greenfield and acquisition opportunities, with collaboration across teams.
You will develop preliminary plant designs, assess equipment options, and support RFP responses, while driving process improvements and innovation in project evaluation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
- 5+ years of renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
- Proficiency with modeling tools such as PVSYST, HOMER, SAM, Helioscope and Plant Predict.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
- MS Office applications and advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities
- Business Development Support and growth activities.
- Energy production modeling for development projects (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
- Battery dispatch modeling for projects (Excel, Matlab).
- Site evaluation for project suitability (remote and in-person).
- Support for RFPs, Greenfield Development, and acquisition studies to 30% design.
- Develop technical deliverables for RFP responses and proposals, including external coordination.
- Improve processes and products for more accurate project evaluation.
