Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Project Manager to lead preconstruction activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects, coordinating across Development, Estimating, Procurement, Construction and EPC contractors to set scope, cost, schedule, and risk strategies.

You will drive investment-quality decisions, align cross-functional teams, and ensure a smooth transition from development into construction execution, contributing to a more sustainable future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is required.
• Significant experience in renewable energy project development, preconstruction, estimating, engineering, procurement, construction, or project management.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale project lifecycle and EPC contracting.
• Experience supporting EPC solicitations, bid evaluations and cost reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction engagement, align scope, schedule, deliverables, risks, and execution strategy.
• Assess maturity across permitting, entitlements, site control, interconnection, design, procurement, and constructability.
• Identify risks/opportunities and communicate impacts with cross-functional partners.
• Provide executive-ready reporting on milestones, priorities and dependencies.
• Support due diligence and opportunities for potential projects and acquisitions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices across preconstruction and bidding.
