Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Sr. Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer to join our team in Boulder, CO, or nearby locations.

You will contribute to design, analysis, and construction of utility-scale renewable projects (wind, solar, BESS) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical infrastructure. The role emphasizes detailed electrical design, calculations, reports, and supervision of mid-to-senior engineers, with focus on safety, compliance, and performance

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of post-education experience.
Willingness to obtain US PE license within a reasonable time period.
Experience with renewable energy system design and distributed energy resources.
Proficient with electrical design software, calculations, and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance on electrical balance of plant data, procurement specs, and NEC/IEEE/NESC standards.
Coordinate and review electrical infrastructure design plans for smaller projects.
Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques to concept development and final design.
Perform electrical calculations (loads, short-circuit, protection) and one-line diagrams.
Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates with cross-functional teams.
Interface with clients, owners, and regulators to support project delivery.
