Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer (Renewables) for our Billings, Montana office. You will contribute to electrical design for wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects within the Renewables Generation Team, helping the firm meet client objectives and challenges.

You will collaborate across disciplines, support calculations, reports, drawings, site visits, and construction support, and promote safety and quality standards as part of a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Involved in electrical design for Renewables Generation projects (wind, solar, BESS).
• Support design and development of electrical collection, distribution, grounding, and equipment layouts for renewables facilities.
• Assist with substation electrical design, interconnection projects, protection and control coordination, and power system studies.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, and environmental engineers for multidisciplinary execution.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, construction drawings, and project documentation.
• Participate in site visits, commissioning activities, and construction support.
