Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and BESS project development across the US and abroad. You will qualify opportunities, perform technical due diligence, and respond to utilities and municipalities on renewable energy opportunities.

You’ll collaborate with Business Development, Execution and Finance teams, focusing on preliminary design evaluation and 2–500 MW projects. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
• Proficiency with PV and storage modeling tools and CAD (AutoCAD).
• Strong MS Office, Excel skills and data analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
• Battery dispatch modeling for projects in development (Excel, Matlab).
• Site evaluation for project suitability (remote and on-site).
• Support for RFPs, Greenfield Development, and Acquisition studies up to 30% design.
• Development of technical deliverables for RFP responses and proposals.
