Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Windchill Java Developer for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will work on deep Windchill customizations using Java, PTC APIs, and customization frameworks, extending platform behavior while preserving upgrade-friendly layers.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Java development experience, strong Windchill knowledge, and a disciplined engineering approach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years in Java development with Windchill customization.
Hands-on experience with Windchill Java API and customization frameworks.
Strong understanding of Windchill data model, lifecycle, and workflow internals.
Strong Java OO design and performance-engineering skills.
Experience with JSP, HTML, and Windchill client-side customization.
Hands-on experience with TAM.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server.
Experience supporting Windchill upgrades.
Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop Windchill Java customizations close to the platform and extend behavior via services, listeners, and processors.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate ambiguous requirements into engineered solutions.
Lead code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers.
Maintain an upgrade-friendly customization layer and ensure clean integration into Windchill.
