Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced PTC Solutions Developer to design, develop, and support Windchill customizations, integrations, and enhancements. You will work with PLM consultants and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into well-engineered Windchill solutions, combining hands-on Windchill Java customization with data models, workflows, and integration patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of PTC Windchill development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Windchill Java API.
• Solid experience with workflows, lifecycle templates, and object initialization rules.
• Working knowledge of Info*Engine and Windchill integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with JSP/HTML client customization.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with the Windchill data model.
• Experience with Windchill upgrades and migrations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Windchill customizations using the Windchill Java API and patterns.
• Build listeners, services, and processors that extend Windchill behavior.
• Develop and configure Windchill workflows, templates, and rules.
• Implement Info*Engine tasks and adapters for system integration.
• Create JSP/HTML client-side extensions when needed.
• Design Windchill reports using Cognos integration.
• Configure Windchill Customizer tools, RBINFO files, and OIRs.
• Migrate legacy PLM data into Windchill with durable, well-documented approaches.
• Optimize performance of custom code and database queries.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
