Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of Java development experience with Windchill customization.
• Deep, hands-on Windchill Java API and customization frameworks experience.
• Strong Windchill data model, lifecycle, and workflow internals knowledge.
• Strong Java OO design and performance-engineering skills.
• Experience with JSP/HTML Windchill client-side customization.
• Hands-on experience with TAM.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience supporting Windchill upgrades.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Windchill Java customizations (services, listeners, processors).
• Extend the Windchill data model with custom types, attributes, and relationships using TAM.
• Build custom JSP and HTML extensions and UI components.
• Develop custom queues and background processes for asynchronous Windchill tasks.
• Implement complex workflow expressions and robot delegates in Java, ensuring durable, well-documented outcomes.
• Optimize performance of Java customizations with profiling, tuning, and caching.
• Adhere to PTC customization best practices and upgrade-friendly patterns.
• Lead migrations to retire legacy customizations with reversible steps.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate complex requirements into clean Java designs.
• Provide post-go-live support and triage incidents with operations teams.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
