CrossCountry Freight Solutions Inc seeks a Risk Claims Manager in the Compliance department. This exempt, individual-contributor role manages auto liability and workers’ compensation claims, including return-to-work and modified duty offers.

Remote possibilities exist with strong collaboration across teams. Ideal candidate has 7+ years of senior claims experience, deep knowledge of liability claim handling, and proven negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior-level claims experience.
• Extensive liability claims administration knowledge.
• Understanding of complex medical treatments and torts.
• Strong independent decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Personally investigate and manage the company’s claims, coordinating with insurers.
• Escalate complex claims during intake and gather data for resolution.
• Direct property, auto, and workers’ compensation claims; manage defense counsel as needed.
• Provide excellent service to insureds/claimants by phone.
• Prepare statistical reports and lead claim file reviews on request.
• Ensure losses are minimized and regulatory compliance is maintained.
• Maintain professional conduct and collaborate with staff company-wide.
• Other duties as assigned.
