Job summary

Entegee is seeking an experienced Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead overhead transmission line design on high-voltage projects. The role is fully remote within California and requires an active California PE license.

You will work on structure spotting, sag‑tension, and modelling with PLS tools, preparing sealed calculations and construction packages, and coordinating with QA/QC teams to ensure design rigor.

Qualifications

7+ years of overhead transmission line engineering experience.
Strong PLS-CADD experience.
Experience with PLS-POLE and/or PLS-TOWER.
High-voltage transmission experience, typically 69 kV–500 kV.
Strong knowledge of sag-tension, clearances, structure loading, and transmission design standards.

Responsibilities

Lead overhead transmission line design, including structure spotting, clearances, sag-tension, and constructability.
Develop and review PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER models.
Perform/review design of steel poles, lattice towers, wood poles, conductors, foundations, and line hardware.
Prepare and seal engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction packages.
Support technical reviews, QA/QC, and multidisciplinary coordination.
