Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Sr. Transmission Line Engineer with overhead line experience to lead client-facing projects in Northern California or surrounding areas, with remote options. You will design and review transmission routes, perform QA/QC, and help grow NV5's California portfolio.

Experience with PLS software and a current PE license are required. You will mentor junior staff and travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of overhead transmission line experience with QA/QC.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for power delivery projects.
• Increase the volume of overhead line work with existing clients.
• Assist in routing and design of overhead transmission lines using industry-standard tools.
• Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and lead project teams.
