Job summary

Acuity Inc. seeks a Sales Support Engineer with a BAS/automation background to assist System Integrators and End-User customers in adopting leading technology.

This remote role (work from home) requires company-paid travel. You’ll work with System Integrators, End Users, and Regional Sales Managers to plan and manage your schedule, become the product SME, and support onboarding, trainings, and industry events.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the Tridium Niagara Framework and EC-Net (The Distech Brand) within a Distech Controls solution.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems and ability to program HVAC control.
• Ability to explain complex topics in layman's terms.
• Fundamental understanding of protocols: BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks.
• Fundamental understanding of MSTP and IP networking.
• Experience with IoT integrations and APIs.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and C++.
• Experience with Linux and Docker/Containers.

Responsibilities

• Be the product SME for the Sales Team across various support activities.
• Lead New Product Introductions and technical sessions/webinars.
• Support new customer onboardings and industry trade shows.
• Provide supplemental product training and assist projects adopting new technology.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to stay informed about capabilities and limitations.
