Zact Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to own complex incidents end-to-end, build monitoring and automation, and mentor two junior analysts.

This role combines hands-on triage with strategic tooling work in a remote US setting, supporting a cloud-native SaaS platform used by banking clients. You will lead incident reviews, design alerting strategies in GCP, and collaborate with engineering to improve observability, while building a resilient knowledge base and runbooks for

Qualifications

• 8+ years in application support or technical operations with leadership experience.
• Experience with MySQL, GCP, and microservice architectures.
• Ability to own incidents end-to-end and automate repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead triage of complex multi-service incidents with a documented timeline
• Design and maintain alerting in GCP Cloud Monitoring
• Build back-office tooling and automation with Python/Bash
• Mentor two junior analysts and run daily standups across time zones
• Document runbooks and maintain knowledge base for incidents
• Collaborate with engineering and product to improve observability
