Job summary

Zact is hiring a Senior Application Support Engineer for its cloud-based commercial card and payments platform. The role is a hands-on, technical lead position, owning incident triage, monitoring, and tooling while guiding two junior analysts.

You will set the standard for observability and client communication in a regulated fintech context. You will work in a remote-friendly environment, collaborating with global teammates and banking clients to drive reliability, automation, and faster

Qualifications

• 8+ years in application support or technical operations with leadership experience.
• MySQL queries and database investigations in production environments.
• Hands-on GCP experience with logging, monitoring, and tracing.
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash for automation.
• Methodical incident investigations with clear documentation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication for clients and team.
• Experience building or contributing to a knowledge base or runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident triage end-to-end across multiple services and timelines.
• Own monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and SLOs for key product flows.
• Develop internal tooling and automation to reduce toil and manual work.
• Serve as senior technical point of contact for banking client issues.
• Mentor two junior analysts and run daily standups across time zones.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve observability and reliability.
• Create and maintain runbooks, queries, and knowledge resources.
