Job summary

GAF is hiring a Reliability Engineer III at our Newton, KS facility. You will drive improvements in machine uptime, reliability, and maintenance planning across site operations, collaborating with maintenance and production managers to implement TPM and RCM methodologies.

The role requires advanced engineering expertise, leadership, and cross-functional communication to deliver cost-efficient reliability improvements and safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 5+ years of industrial manufacturing experience, preferably in continuous processes.
• 5+ years of plant maintenance experience.
• 5+ years of reliability improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe and clean work environment where safety is the highest priority.
• Lead predictive maintenance data gathering and training.
• Initiate work orders for failing equipment and track completion.
• Optimize predictive routes and expand programs.
• Develop engineering solutions from root cause analyses.
• Prepare capital requests for various projects.
• Review PM schedules and ensure appropriate frequency and scope.
• Monitor KPIs and reliability metrics across site operations.
• Lead TPM and operator care initiatives with cross-functional teams.
