Job summary

GAF is seeking a Reliability Engineer II to advance maintenance programs and reliability initiatives. This role leads efforts to optimize machine uptime, reduce failures, and extend equipment life, collaborating with Maintenance and Operations to meet long-term reliability goals and reduce costs.

The position emphasizes safety, data-driven improvements, and cross-functional partnerships to achieve measurable performance gains across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 2+ years in industrial manufacturing and plant maintenance.
• 2+ years of maintenance and reliability improvement experience.
• Willing to obtain Level 1 Thermography, Vibration Analysis 1, and Machinery Lubrication Technician 1 within 2 years.
• Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Suite.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, and lubrication.
• Experience with CMMS, preferably Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe and clean work environment where safety is the highest priority.
• Manage FRACAS with weekly downtime reporting and monthly meetings with action plans.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs and PM optimization reviews.
• Improve lubrication practices to boost OEE of critical assets.
• Develop annual and 5-year workforce development plans.
• Track KPIs and audit maintenance practices for continuous improvement.
