Qualus is seeking experienced Relay Testing Professionals in Field Engineering across Level III, Senior, and Lead roles to commission and test protection and control schemes for utility substations and plants in the US. You will work with IEDs and test sets including Doble 6150, Omicron, and Manta, mentoring field technicians and engineers.

The role emphasizes safety, client requirements, and hands-on testing across diverse environments, with relocation options from Canada and ongoing career

Qualificações

• 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Associate degree holders may be classified as Technicians; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering may be Engineers.
• Experience with volt-ohm-meters and hand tools.
• Ability to read One Line, AC/DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
• Ability to perform field work in varied environments and weather.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsabilidades

• Red-lines design documents throughout the drawing set (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, Panel Arrangement, BOM/Material List).
• Performs End-To-End testing.
• Performs IED testing with test sets (e.g., Doble 6150, Omicron, Manta) for protection & control schemes.
• Identifies risks associated with testing and commissioning those schemes and systems.
• Develops test plans, risk assessments, and practical protection/control concepts.
• Analyzes scope and drawings to create functional guidelines and risk assessments.
• Leads tasks within a project or provides technical/people leadership.
• Performs weekly site safety inspections.
• Leads HP application with Project Lead approval.
• Supports company and client policies and procedures.
