Job summary

Qualus is seeking senior and lead Relay Testing professionals to commission and test protection and control schemes in substations and plants across the US. You will work with IEDs, SCADA interfaces, and testing equipment such as Doble 6150 and Omicron.

The role involves end-to-end testing, risk assessment, and mentoring of field technicians and engineers, with travel to client sites and relocation support as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training may classify as Technician; Bachelor's in Electrical Eng. may classify as Engineer.
• Experience with volt-ohm-meters and hand tools.
• Ability to read One Line and AC/DC diagrams.
• Willingness to travel and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents (S/L, AC/DC diagrams, wiring, BOM).
• Perform end-to-end testing and IED testing (manual and automated).
• Develop test plans and risk assessments for protection schemes.
• Lead project tasks and mentor team members.
• Conduct weekly site safety inspections.
• Support company and customer policies.
