Job summary

Qualus is seeking experienced Relay Testing Professionals at Level III, Senior, and Lead levels for field engineering in power system protection. You will commission and test protection and control schemes for substations and plants, including IEDs, with exposure to SCADA and IEC-61850 media.

Travel to client sites is required with relocation and per diem options. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in relay testing, A.E.E./engineering background, and strong leadership for mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Experience reading One Line, AC/DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
• Ability to perform field work in various environments and weather.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, BOM).
• Performs End-To-End testing of protection & control schemes.
• Tests IEDs manually and with automated test sets.
• Leads project tasks and mentors team members.
• Conducts weekly site safety inspections.
