Job summary

Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions (PDS) division is hiring a Senior Relay Settings Engineer to join our diverse and fast-paced organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with other electric utility disciplines, playing a valuable part in leading and designing utility substation and renewable energy projects.

Location: This position is open to fully remote. If an office environment is preferred, a hybrid schedule from a Leidos office location may be considered.

Qualifications

• Must have a BSEE from ABET-accredited school, or BSEE with PE license.
• 4+ years of experience in power system protection and relay settings.
• Ability to use Aspen OneLiner / Siemens CAPE for coordination and studies.
• Experience preparing technical reports for protective relay settings.
• Experience with relays such as SEL, Alstom, GE, ABB.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare relay settings from 4.16kV through 500kV including relay set points, logic diagrams, configuration files and documentation.
• Collaborate with protection engineers and review relay setting packages for quality.
• Support full project planning activities through design and construction phases.
• Interact with clients and remote staff to ensure project success.
• Address challenging substation engineering problems with practical solutions.
