Job summary

American AgCredit seeks a highly experienced professional to lead relationship management and business development in the Salinas Valley. The role focuses on specialty crop borrowers, portfolio growth, and strategic partnerships across food and agribusiness sectors.

You will leverage industry knowledge and a robust network to originate new business while collaborating with cross-functional teams to structure credit facilities and support transactions.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Must reside inside our Loan Servicing Area for in-office hybrid work.
• Proven success originating new business and expanding relationships.
• Strong knowledge of specialty crop agriculture and related agribusiness.
• Digital proficiency with emerging technologies for CRM and sales.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to drive portfolio growth.
• Build and deepen relationships with middle-market and large agribusiness customers.
• Leverage Salesforce, nCino, and other platforms to manage pipelines and interactions.
• Collaborate with teams to design credit facilities and support transactions.
• Represent American AgCredit at meetings, events, and industry associations.
