We are seeking a highly experienced professional with deep knowledge of specialty crop agriculture, strong credit and financial expertise, established industry relationships, and a proven track record of business development and portfolio growth. The successful candidate will leverage market knowledge, strategic insight, and relationship management expertise to help customers achieve their business objectives while driving growth and expanding American AgCredit's presence within the Food and Specialty Crops sectors.
This role requires the ability to operate as both a strategic business developer and industry ambassador. The incumbent leverages extensive industry relationships, market insight, and financial expertise to deliver substantial impact through customer acquisition, portfolio growth, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership within the Food and Specialty Crops sectors. As a recognized leader within the industry, this individual influences key customer decisions, identifies emerging market opportunities, strengthens American AgCredit's market presence, and contributes to the long-term success of customers, the organization, and the broader agricultural community.
Experience working with specialty crop producers, processors, packers, marketers, and related agribusinesses, leveraging those relationships and deep industry knowledge to drive business growth, deliver exceptional customer value, and originate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry engagement, strategic prospecting, and consultative sales expertise. Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with middle-market and large agribusiness customers within the specialty crops sector, serving as a trusted advisor by understanding customers' business objectives, operational challenges, capital requirements, and growth strategies and delivering solutions that support their long-term success. Develop and execute business development strategies that drive portfolio growth, profitability, customer retention, and deeper customer engagement while identifying opportunities to deliver the full breadth of American AgCredit solutions. Leverage Salesforce, nCino, and other technology platforms to enhance customer engagement, manage pipelines, document customer interactions, identify growth opportunities, and support proactive relationship management and business development efforts. Collaborate with Capital Markets Structuring & Sales to design credit facilities, develop participation strategies, and support transaction execution. Represent American AgCredit at customer meetings, field visits, industry events, conferences, and trade associations, strengthening the organization's market presence, industry leadership, and relationships throughout the Food and Specialty Crops sectors. Lead relationship teams, providing functional guidance to underwriters, operations, and portfolio monitoring professionals regarding policies, procedures, risk assessment, transaction execution, and the evaluation of financial information related to new loans, amendments, annual reviews, and lease transactions. Make decisions regarding loan requests, structure, and pricing within delegated authority and present recommendations to Credit Approvers and Loan Committees as appropriate.
Provides functional leadership to underwriters, operations, and portfolio monitoring specialists while serving as the lead for relationship and transaction teams. Operates with significant autonomy under the administrative direction of the Agribusiness Food Team Lead and/or Head of Agribusiness.

These employees will work partly remote and partly onsite. Part-time remote employees will work with their managers to determine when and how often they are needed onsite.
Minimum $144,039.37 - Max $244,866.92 Annual This range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class. Reflected is the national base pay range and title offered for this job at the current level. Compensation, title, and job level may be adjusted based on candidate qualifications including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
