Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks an accomplished Senior Commercial Lender to source opportunities, underwrite loan requests, and present credit analyses.

You will guide requests through senior review, coordinate closing with loan administration, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. You will build relationships with borrowers and referral sources, perform detailed financial analysis, document credit packages, and lead related credit decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in commercial lending, including valuation and asset management, and financial analysis is required.
• BA Degree in finance or related field is required.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations including TILA, ECOA, FHA, HMDA, RESPA, FCRA, BSA/AML, CIP, RFPA, CRA.

Responsibilities

• Establish new relationships and foster existing relationships.
• Analyze commercial lending opportunities and credit facilities including working capital lines of credit and owner-occupied real estate loans.
• Perform borrower balance sheet and cash flow analysis to assess credit facility viability.
• Prepare credit displays and ensure information required for decision is gathered.
• Coordinate with loan administrators and legal counsel to process and close facilities.
• Stay aware of market trends and maintain a network of referral sources.
• Lead interviews, hiring decisions, and staff development.
