Job summary

Aon is seeking a Senior Event Manager, Reinsurance to own and drive complex, high-visibility events across North America with some international exposure. You will lead multi-workstream programs, shape event strategy with senior partners, and deliver exceptional attendee experiences from strategy through onsite execution.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of corporate event management, a strong command of event technology (Cvent), and advanced Excel/financial skills.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive corporate event management experience.
Ability to lead complex, high-visibility programs with minimal oversight.
Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
Experience influencing across a large, global, matrixed organization.
Advanced Excel and financial management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Own complex, multi-workstream events from intake to onsite execution and post-event close.
Shape event strategy with business partners and senior stakeholders.
Align events with growth objectives, governance, and attendee experience goals.
Design attendee experiences and activations reflecting brand values.
Lead planning timelines, run-of-show docs, staffing, and cross-functional dependencies.
Manage venue sourcing, contracting, AV, sponsorships, and logistics.
Oversee registration, communications, and reporting with data quality.
Drive post-event debriefs and qualitative/quantitative results.
Lead budget management and ensure events stay under budget.
Ensure governance, procurement, and documentation standards are met.
