Job summary

Milliman seeks an accomplished Event Manager - Internal Operations to lead strategy, planning and execution of up to 15 events yearly. You will collaborate with senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to design attendee experiences, manage budgets, and deliver high-impact programs.

The role sits within Milliman’s internal MarCom events team and offers remote flexibility with on-site collaboration in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, business, marketing, or related field.
• 8–10 years corporate event planning experience leading large-scale gatherings.
• Knowledge in event strategy, logistics, analytics, and experiential design.
• Experience with Wrike, Microsoft Dynamics, Cvent, and virtual event platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Experience in fast-paced, cross-functional global organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify event goals with leadership and translate them into compelling programming and attendee journeys.
• Lead all aspects of event execution: venue, contracts, registration, agenda, attendees, catering, staffing, and budget.
• Assess risks, drive clarity, and foster shared understanding among stakeholders.
• Partner with MarCom, global teams, business owners, and external vendors across the event lifecycle.
• Manage timelines and communications; liaison with brand/creative for collateral; ensure on-site readiness.
• Close out events with post-event surveys, data analysis, and stakeholder reporting.
• Adhere to firm policies regarding compliance and protocols.
