Job summary

The Reimbursement Analyst V at Texas Health and Human Services Commission focuses on Medicaid and Non-Medicaid cost reports within LTSS, performing advanced technical work and developing process improvements.

Under minimal supervision, the role handles reconciliations, formal and informal reviews, and policy documentation, contributing to program accuracy and efficiency while supporting telework eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university in accounting, business, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in Medicaid reimbursement or cost reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate LTSS cost reporting activities and reconciliations.
• Communicate complex rate policy information to internal/external stakeholders.
• Develop and update cost reports to meet program requirements.
• Draft instruction documents and policy materials for cost reporting.
• Conduct informal reviews and ensure timely reconciliations.
• Maintain documentation and meet deadlines within GAAP and policy guidelines.
