BKF Engineers seeks a Senior Regulatory Specialist and Senior Project Manager to lead permitting and regulatory compliance for California projects. You will manage budgets, coordinate with clients, and drive multi-disciplinary teams across environmental practice areas.

The role offers remote or hybrid work options, requires strong regulatory knowledge, and may involve travel to client sites. You will mentor staff and contribute to business development and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in progressive leadership roles with oversight of cultural resource professionals.
• Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations and laws.
• Valid California Class C driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for California projects.
• Identify permitting pathways and manage budgets for multiple projects.
• Participate in business development and secure contracts.
• Lead and manage teams and communicate with clients; travel may be required.
