Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced fund accountant for Alternative Investments Associates and Accountants. The role involves calculating NAVs, disseminating performance data to advisors and investors, and maintaining GAAP-compliant fund accounting across multiple relationships.

You will record trades, contributions/withdrawals, and apply valuations in portfolio systems, while preparing financial statements, audits and tax schedules. Requires strong accounting knowledge and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of related experience, preferably in portfolio/partnership accounting, finance or portfolio management.
• Thorough knowledge in accounting, reporting, and analysis.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Calculate net asset value(s) and disseminate financial and performance information to the investment advisor and investors.
• Serve as primary fund accountant on multiple relationships, ensuring GAAP-compliant fund accounting.
• Record trade information, income/expense activity and apply security valuation in portfolio systems.
• Enter and reconcile investor contributions and withdrawals in partnership accounting systems.
• Allocate fund-level profits to individual investors for statements.
• Review and coordinate fund expense analysis and processing.
• Prepare fund financial statements, audit and tax schedules.
