Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with regional operations, drive WHS policy execution, and ensure compliance with local, regional and federal requirements. Leverage lean methods to reduce risk for Amazon Associates and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

You will mentor WHS teams, lead safety projects, analyze metrics, and partner with cross-functional leaders to enhance safety across sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years in safety and/or environmental programs.
• 7+ years in people and performance management.
• Lean principles/process improvement in operations.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Office within region; willing to relocate if outside region.
• Willingness to work varying shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and WHS policy.
• Guide and oversee compliance to WHS policies.
• Measure regions/sites against WHS requirements and fix deficiencies.
• Audit recordkeeping and provide accurate reporting/metrics.
• Deliver projects to Operations on time and with quality.
• Analyze WHS metrics and incident trends to allocate resources.
• Lead continuous improvement and kaizen efforts with Ops teams.
• Mentor FC WHS Manager and WHS Associates.
• Spend time at fulfillment centers to seek improvement opportunities.
• Ensure effective WHS training delivery and quality.
