Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a highly skilled field service professional for start-up, commissioning, and post-start-up support in the data center market within Electrification Services.

This remote-in-US role requires extensive nationwide travel to customer sites, delivering high-quality service while upholding ABB safety standards. You will lead onsite engagements, troubleshoot advanced electrical systems, and mentor peers.

Qualifications

• Progressive electrical engineering experience across power equipment.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and safety codes.
• Excellent written and oral communication for technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite customer engagement and ensure satisfaction.
• Plan and execute service tasks with quality and urgency.
• Identify system and operational improvements.
• Communicate upgrade and service opportunities to internal teams.
• Coordinate site preparation and subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure materials and tools readiness for assignments.
• Drive improvements to processes and delivery.
• Produce technical documentation and reports.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to customers.
• Work across Power Delivery, Electrification, and control systems.
• Uphold safety culture and PPE compliance.
