Job summary

Acme Markets is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to keep our stores running safely and efficiently. This hands-on role installs new equipment, troubleshoots refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, and performs preventive maintenance while documenting findings to prevent future issues.

You will operate EMS and BMS controls, adjust set points, and manage parts, data entry, and compliance forms.

Qualifications

• Must possess EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical contexts.
• Willing to work overtime on weekends, holidays, and after-hours when on call.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Make daily mechanical checks on equipment in Mechanical Room, Roof, HVAC and EMS systems.
• Maintain refrigeration, HVAC, EMS, electrical and mechanical systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance, leak checks, inspections, and new equipment installations.
• Monitor work by outside contractors and report issues to the Area Refrigeration Manager.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical and electrical problems and document solutions.
