Job summary

Albertsons Companies seeks a skilled HVAC and refrigeration technician to monitor and repair building systems across California stores. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and energy efficiency with hands-on maintenance in mechanical rooms, roofs, and refrigerated cases.

You will troubleshoot electrical and EMS issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain CARB/EPA records while coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years refrigeration service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to read manuals, prints and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Must be willing to work overtime on weekends, holidays, and after-hours when on call
• Make daily mechanical checks on equipment in the Mechanical Room, Roof, HVAC, EMS systems, refrigerated cases and walk-ins
• Maintain refrigeration, HVAC, EMS, electrical, and mechanical systems and perform repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance, leak checks, inspections, and document required information
• Manage communication for service calls in a timely manner and coordinate with Area Refrigeration Manager
