Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a Journeyman-level Refrigeration/EMS Start-up Technician to install and start up supermarket refrigeration and HVAC systems. The role includes wiring and programming EMS systems, leading small project changes, and supporting energy optimization initiatives.

Candidates should have 5+ years in commercial refrigeration, EPA I/II, a valid driver’s license, and strong blueprint and MS Office skills. Travel, overtime, and site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years in commercial refrigeration; CO2 a plus.
• EPA I and II certification required.
• 3+ years with supermarket EMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating and ventilation systems.
• Wire and program EMS systems for multiple manufacturers.
• Lead small projects like case and condenser changes.
• Assist energy optimization and retro-commissioning efforts.
• Coordinate with service managers across stores; train junior staff.
