Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Engineer for its Red Team to conduct adversary emulation, develop tools, and mentor junior operators. The role emphasizes collaboration with defenses, incident response, and other teams to improve security across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years in offensive and/or defensive security.
• Strong offensive security knowledge and impact awareness.
• Ability to mentor junior operators and lead teams.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Experience reading and writing code to support red team goals.

Responsibilities

• Consult on, design, and execute adversary emulation operations.
• Develop proof-of-concept tools and playbooks.
• Bypass controls to achieve operational goals while maintaining safety.
• Lead and train operators and partners across teams.
• Present findings clearly to stakeholders.
