Job summary

WellSky is seeking a Sr Security Engineer focused on red team activities to strengthen enterprise security across on-prem and cloud environments. You will design and run adversary emulation exercises, lead hardening efforts, and guide development and operations teams on secure practices.

The role requires hands-on offensive security experience, familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, and proficiency with tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, BloodHound, and Cobalt Strike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4-6 years related work experience.
• At least 2 years in an offensive security role: pen testing, red team, adversary emulation, or purple team.
• Hands-on attack lifecycle experience against enterprise networks, cloud, and web apps.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and offensive tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, scope, and execute red team engagements and adversary emulation exercises.
• Lead security measures across systems, SDLC, hardening, and incident response.
• Develop security controls in cloud and colocation environments in line with policy.
• Analyze requirements and propose improvements aligned with standards and compliance.
• Provide guidance to dev and IT teams on secure design and deployment.
• Participate in security incident response, detection, containment, and escalation.
• Serve as SME for security tools; optimize configurations and workflows.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance decision-making and automate tasks.
