Job summary

Gusto, Inc. is seeking a strategic Lead, Recruiting Process Transformation to evolve our recruiting ecosystem and standardize processes across Recruiting Operations and Candidate Experience.

You'll partner with People Tech, Legal, and business leaders to redesign hiring—from requisition to onboarding—creating scalable experiences for candidates, hiring teams, and partners. This role drives Lean‑based redesigns, technology enablement, and enterprise metrics, with a hybrid onsite expectation in

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Recruiting Operations or related fields.
• 5+ years leading managers and operational teams.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale process transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of recruiting technology ecosystems (Greenhouse or comparable ATS).
• Lean Six Sigma or BPM methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with recruiting metrics to drive decisions.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for transforming recruiting processes.
• Analyze end-to-end candidate and hiring lifecycle workflows to identify friction and opportunities for simplification.
• Redesign processes using Lean, service design, and automation principles.
• Partner with People Technology to implement technology solutions for recruiting efficiency (e.g., AI-native platforms).
• Build business cases that quantify impact and ROI for transformation initiatives.
• Lead operational excellence across Recruiting Operations and Candidate Experience.
