Job summary

up-labs is seeking a Senior Recruiter on a contract basis to help hire world-class product, engineering, data, design, and business talent for our studio and internal venture teams. You will partner with hiring managers, shape sourcing strategies, and deliver outstanding candidate experiences in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in startup/venture studio environments.
• Proven track record recruiting for technical roles (Software Eng, Data Science/ML, Product, Design) and director-level roles.
• Strong sourcing capabilities and expertise with modern tools (Gem, Metaview, Claude, LinkedIn, AI sourcing tools).
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, handle fast-paced environments, and balance strategic partnerships with hands-on execution.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Highly organized and process-driven with a focus on speed, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design and Growth (Lead/Manager/Director).
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, scorecards, and strategies.
• Build top-of-funnel pipelines using diverse sourcing channels and networks.
• Lead structured interviews and candidate assessments with a consistent standard.
• Navigate 0→1 environments where requirements evolve and speed matters.
• Present insights, market trends, and pipeline analytics to leadership.
• Drive a best-in-class candidate experience from first touch to close.
• Maintain and optimize ATS workflows and recruitment processes to improve speed and quality.
• Represent the company brand to attract world-class talent.
