B&B Concrete is seeking a senior estimator/detailer with deep reinforcing-steel experience to lead estimating and preconstruction. You will review structural drawings, build takeoffs, and develop labor and material pricing for large projects.

You will help establish standards and contribute to a scalable department while coordinating with management and field teams. The role emphasizes independent work, rigorous cost analysis, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel industry experience with estimating background.
• Experience detailing reinforcement and reading structural drawings.
• Experience with large concrete-related projects (industrial, wastewater, heavy civil).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation or comparable software.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment and freight.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project conditions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates and support bid strategy.
• Coordinate with project management and field personnel to resolve issues.
