Job summary

HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær's Concurrent Real-Time division seeks a hands-on manager to lead the Simulation Workbench team (SimWB). You will set direction, own delivery, and contribute as an engineer while shaping the product roadmap for real-time HIL software used in automotive, aerospace, and defense.

You will mentor engineers, work closely with manufacturing and support, and stay active in code while driving feature prioritization and release planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years leading teams.
• Strong Linux development experience in C/C++ and Java knowledge.
• Experience owning product direction, roadmap, or architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SimWB engineering team, set priorities, and remove obstacles.
• Contribute to design, code, and technical problem solving.
• Ensure on-time shipment of SimWB systems with Manufacturing.
• Own the SimWB release process from planning to packaging.
• Oversee SimWB licensing, including renewals and demos.
• Coordinate with Support and Applications teams on issues.
• Recruit, hire, and develop engineers and build team depth.
• Own SimWB roadmap and translate customer needs into work.
• Identify emerging technologies and AI integration possibilities.
