Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator to architect, implement, test, and deploy software for FPGA and hardware solutions in autonomous avionics systems. You will work within cross-functional teams to ensure time-critical performance and mission assurance, while mentoring staff and guiding design reviews.

The position requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of embedded experience, with hands-on work in Embedded C++, RTOS, and

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
Experience with embedded C++ and RTOS is expected.
Embedded software architecture and integration experience preferred.
Active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance required.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software for FPGA/hardware solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional IPT teams to refine concepts and ensure quality and measurability.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews and proposals.
Possess the ability to obtain program access and work in an Agile/Lean environment.
This role is onsite in Tucson, AZ.
